About the Opportunity
The Analytics Manager II will join a team of analysts and data scientists serving commercial, political, and non-profit clients to support data-driven decisions and strategy. This role combines in-depth data analysis, data infrastructure development, and client communication.
It is responsible for producing analytical solutions, developing reports and calculators, and creating client-facing materials that clearly summarize findings. The position requires creative problem-solving to deliver effective and efficient solutions and involves mentoring junior analysts and fellows to support their development.
Responsibilities
- Analyze polling and survey data to identify trends and insights
- Build crosstabs detailing audience or respondent characteristics
- Present findings to clients and stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds
- Develop data infrastructure, reports, and calculators to support solutions
- Mentor and support the growth of junior analysts and fellows
- Collaborate closely with data science and technical teams
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a statistical background or 3+ years of experience analyzing data and building reports
- Passion for using data-driven solutions to improve social outcomes
- Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
- Experience addressing broad, open-ended questions with minimal guidance
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring junior team members
- Eagerness to learn data management, analysis, and visualization techniques
- Ability to recognize patterns and critically evaluate assumptions
- High attention to detail and an eye for design
- Experience conducting data analysis under tight deadlines with unstructured problems
- Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools
- Experience creating maps using GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS
- Programming experience with Python and SQL
- Skilled in spreadsheet and presentation software including Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Keynote
Compensation
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
