About The Role
The Content Strategist is a vital, client-facing role responsible for managing day-to-day client deliverables, developing customized strategies, and maintaining effective communication with both clients and internal teams. This position primarily focuses on enterprise clients, requiring a thorough understanding of the company's service offerings and their impact on broader business objectives. The strategist will craft holistic marketing strategies that align with client goals, leveraging insights from various data sources to optimize campaign performance. Internally titled as Account Strategist, Content & SEO, this role demands strategic thinking, project management skills, and the ability to build strong relationships while driving results across multiple initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in SEO principles and content strategy, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management abilities
- Agency experience is mandatory
- Experience working with B2B technology and SaaS clients
- Enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content development
- Active interest in industry trends, including AI and automation applications in marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred
- Develop and implement customized client strategies based on best practices and client goals
- Utilize data from sources like Google Analytics, CRM, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to set and review performance goals
- Collaborate closely with Associate Directors to ensure strategic alignment and address roadblocks
- Create detailed creative briefs and develop compelling content campaigns informed by competitor and audience insights
- Apply industry best practices such as LTV:CAC modeling, customer generation, share of SERP, and content production to optimize client outcomes
- Manage project workflows using Asana, delegating tasks effectively to internal teams and clients
- Coordinate with content writers and designers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content that meets client standards
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their business needs beyond deliverables
- Proactively communicate with clients and internal leadership regarding timelines, progress, opportunities, and challenges
- Prepare and deliver regular reporting on strategy progress, including bi-weekly meetings, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reviews
- Identify opportunities for account growth, including upselling, cross-selling, and referrals, by building trusted client relationships
- Competitive base salary in the range of $75,000–$95,000 USD, commensurate with experience and location
