Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training)About The Role We're looking for experienced security practitioners to help evaluate and improve AI systems that reason about real-world cybersecurity risk. Your expertise in vulnerability management, exposure analysis, and remediation will directly shape how AI understands and responds to security challenges faced by modern organizations. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cybersecurity and cutting-edge AI — contributing your domain knowledge to systems being built by the world's leading AI research labs.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
  • Assess severity, exploitability, and impact to classify and prioritize security risk
  • Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and remediation decision-making scenarios
  • Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
  • Apply your real-world judgment to help AI distinguish between theoretical risk and what actually matters in production environments

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
  • Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV)
  • Strong understanding of the tradeoffs between theoretical risk and operational impact
  • Analytical and structured thinker who can clearly articulate security reasoning
  • Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with exposure management platforms (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Wiz)
  • Background in cloud, endpoint, or application security
  • Familiarity with AI evaluation or data labeling workflows
  • Experience writing security runbooks, risk assessments, or remediation guidance

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Make a meaningful impact on how AI reasons about real-world security risk
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
