About The Role
The National Abortion Federation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various programs aimed at enhancing provider education, advocacy efforts, and resource development. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for advancing reproductive rights. The Program Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for program partners, facilitate training sessions, and assist in the development of educational materials, ensuring the smooth operation and impact of NAF’s initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field. Prior experience in program coordination, project management, or nonprofit organizations is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email communication, and virtual collaboration tools. A demonstrated commitment to reproductive rights and social justice issues is preferred. The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and workshops for healthcare providers and community partners.
- Managing logistics for training sessions, conferences, and outreach events, including scheduling, registration, and materials preparation.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with program stakeholders, partners, and vendors to ensure successful program delivery.
- Monitoring program budgets and tracking expenses to ensure alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements.
- Creating and updating program documentation, reports, and promotional materials to support outreach efforts.
- Providing administrative support to the program team, including correspondence, data entry, and scheduling.
- Participating in strategic planning and contributing ideas to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
- Staying informed about current developments in reproductive health and advocating for policies that support access to care.
