Senior Billing Specialist | Remote - US
A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Billing & Revenue Specialist to join its finance team. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with a strong legal billing background who is comfortable managing sophisticated billing portfolios, working directly with attorneys and finance teams, and taking ownership of the billing cycle from start to finish.
This position is fully remote within the United States.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage full-cycle billing for complex domestic and international client portfolios
- Review and revise prebills/proformas and coordinate billing adjustments, write-offs, transfers, and approvals
- Finalize and distribute invoices in accordance with client-specific billing requirements
- Handle electronic billing submissions and troubleshoot invoice rejections
- Prepare LEDES files and work across e-billing platforms
- Track client billing guidelines and ensure invoices remain compliant with outside counsel requirements
- Prepare accruals, forecasts, and recurring billing/account reports
- Analyze billing data and research discrepancies or account issues
- Partner directly with attorneys, internal finance teams, and international counterparts to keep billing cycles on track
- Help resolve more complex billing matters and serve as a resource to less experienced team members
- Provide training and guidance on billing procedures and best practices
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of direct billing/client accounts experience within a law firm or professional services environment
- Experience managing complex billing matters, including e-billing
- Experience with Elite or Aderant
- Familiarity with e-billing tools such as eBillingHub, BillBlast, or similar platforms
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial and billing data
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with attorneys, internal stakeholders, and finance teams
- Prior experience acting as a lead, mentor, or escalation point is preferred
- Experience supporting international or global billing arrangements is a plus
