Director of Finance And Accounting

Meristem Packaging Company is a growing, mission-driven organization in the sustainable packaging space. We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to serve as a strategic, hands-on finance leader, partnering closely with the CEO and cross-functional leaders to drive growth, operational excellence, and strong financial discipline.

This is a senior, high-impact role suited for a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and brings both strategic insight and operational rigor.

What You’ll Do

• Own and oversee all core accounting operations, including general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and month-end close
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to leadership
• Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to support strategic decision-making and spending control
• Manage banking relationships, including oversight of the company’s line of credit and lender reporting
• Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service to align financial planning with business activity
• Ensure compliance across sales tax, income tax coordination, insurance policies, and required company filings
• Support financial systems evolution, including an eventual transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite

What We’re Looking For

• Proven finance leadership experience in a growing or operationally complex business
• Strong background in accounting fundamentals, financial reporting, and cash management
• Experience working closely with executive leadership and translating financial insights into business decisions
• Comfort operating both strategically and hands-on
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environments strongly preferred
• NetSuite implementation or optimization experience is a plus
