Our extensive product range includes acoustic panels, ceiling systems, soundproofing, and bespoke acoustic furniture — all designed with the needs of the design and construction industries in mind.

We are now seeking a passionate and proactive A&D Specification Manager to grow our presence within the architecture and design community across the UK. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, specifiers, and design & build firms to secure specifications of our acoustic products into commercial and public projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and grow relationships with architects, interior designers, specifiers, and D&B companies across the UK.
  • Act as a trusted consultant and brand ambassador, representing The Acoustics Company at meetings, presentations, and industry events.
  • Regularly meet with existing and potential specifiers to understand upcoming projects, advise on acoustic challenges, and recommend tailored solutions.

Specification Development

  • Proactively drive product specification into early-stage project planning.
  • Collaborate with the design and technical teams to ensure specifications align with acoustic performance goals, aesthetics, and project budgets.
  • Deliver CPDs, product presentations, and technical consultations, positioning our brand as the go-to for acoustic excellence.

Project & Pipeline Management

  • Track live and upcoming specified projects from concept to tender stage using CRM tools.
  • Liaise closely with internal sales and estimating teams to ensure specifications convert to orders.
  • Ensure smooth handover of technical requirements, drawings, and documentation from design teams to internal departments.

Market Development

  • Identify and engage with new A&D firms, project leads, and industry influencers to build a sustainable pipeline of specification opportunities.
  • Attend industry networking events, design expos, and exhibitions to grow brand awareness and connect with new clients.

Insight & Strategy

  • Stay informed on industry trends, project cycles, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
  • Provide strategic feedback to sales, marketing, and product development teams based on insights gathered in the field.
  • Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns, case studies, and targeted content for the A&D audience.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working within the architecture, interior design, or construction sector in a specification, sales, or business development capacity.
  • Deep understanding of the project lifecycle from concept to completion.
  • Strong network within the A&D community and a passion for design-led products.
  • Confident communicator and presenter with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver CPDs and technical presentations to design professionals.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing your own schedule and pipeline.
  • Willingness to travel nationally for meetings, site visits, and events.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus scheme.
  • The opportunity to work with a respected European brand at the forefront of acoustic innovation.
  • Flexible, remote-first working environment with autonomy.
  • Supportive team culture and regular collaboration across departments.
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression.
