Working Quarter is hiring an Assistant Accountant, full-time and remote from anywhere in Ireland. You look after the balance sheet side of each client's month-end, so the report pack is built on accounts that reconcile.
Each month
- Reconcile bank, credit card and loan accounts to the statements
- Post accruals, prepayments and depreciation journals
- Prepare the balance sheet reconciliations and the schedules behind them
- Ask the client's bookkeeper about balances you can't explain
- Keep the fixed asset register up to date
- A year or more in accounting or finance, in practice or industry, internships included
- A degree in accounting or finance, or an accounting qualification under way
- Excel: reconciliations, lookups and pivot tables
- Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage or NetSuite
- Month-end work for more than one company at a time
- Private health insurance, with cover for dependents
- A pension plan with an employer contribution
- Paid annual leave, sick leave and Irish public holidays
- Paid study time and exam fees for accounting courses
- A laptop and a stipend for your home office
