Position: Project Manager

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $50/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities:

• Support a Mercor Project Lead by coordinating day-to-day project operations and managing workflows
• Engage expert contributors and manage community interactions
• Host office hours and develop Q&A documentation once projects reach a steady state
• Distribute project metrics emails, issue reminders or warnings, and nudge experts as needed
• Respond to support tickets and conduct 1:1 expert follow-ups
• Perform first-round data quality assurance in collaboration with lead reviewers
• Maintain quality control standards and ensure smooth project execution

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in project management, operations, or community coordination
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with structured, skimmable messaging
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems
• Structured approach to documentation, workflows, and quality control
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with data annotation, especially rubric-based evaluation, is a strong plus
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based setup
