We bring together the power of artificial intelligence and text messaging to solve Higher Education’s most challenging problems. Through an intelligent AI assistant, we support students over SMS and help them navigate college.

At EdSights, you will be working on new technologies that drive large-scale social impact. You will be joining a small, and rapidly growing team and be part of an exciting stage of a technology startup (Series A).

EdSights has raised over $8mm and is backed by Techstars, Album VC, Lakehouse VC, Dan Rosensweig (CEO Chegg), Deborah Quazzo (GSV Ventures), Andy Dunn (Founder of Bonobos), Dave Gilboa (Founder of Warby Parker), and Jenny Fleiss (Founder of Rent the Runway.)

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to be the Founding Account Executive for a new product line within the EdSights portfolio. You’ll have strong upside potential in Year 1 and a potential path to future leadership as the product line scales.

As an Account Executive, you should be a gritty, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious person with a passion for sales and business development. You will take ownership of a territory, learn about your prospects’ strategic plans, and help with the ideation and execution of outreach strategies. You will lead prospect presentations as well as the full sales process from prospecting to closing. You will play a key role in the company's future and you'll get to do this while making an impact.

Earnings are uncapped and clear.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the Vice President of Sales to target, map, and develop prospecting strategies to drive new business opportunities within your territory
  • Execute daily prospecting activities via phone, email, and social to set introductory meetings with prospective customers
  • Plan and execute prospect presentations
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities
  • Travel 1-3 times a quarter for tradeshows and/or on-site prospect meetings
  • Be a thought leader with industry knowledge who can provide perspective on the value EdSights provides

What You Should Have

  • Higher Education sales experience (preferably within Admissions)
  • 2+ years of sales experience (including 1+ years of closing experience)
  • Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistency - you stay motivated through ups and downs and do not get discouraged easily
  • Positive, open, and high-energy approach to growth and learning
  • Excellent time management, and organizational skills
  • Dedication to consistent improvement and professional development
  • Passion for making an impact in the education industry

​Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge and/or Experience within Higher Education Industry
  • Experience selling products with 3+ month sales cycles

Compensation & Benefits

  • $85,000 Base Salary
  • $150,000 On Target Earnings
